So, what's new with you? - Devil on Your Shoulder
Go on. You know you want to.
So, what's new with you?

President's Day is a recognized holiday at my job so this has been a wonderful day of slack and watching the Firefly Marathon on SciFi.  And, yes, I'm still working at the same place.  I'll take their money till they fire me because I haven't found anything that pays as well.  Yet.

Points of interest:  Christmas was good, New Year's was good.  Things are good.  I dropped over $800 on the car a few weeks ago on general maintenance so the car is good. Baby's coming up on 100,000 miles so she needs things like a non-leaking radiator.  The freaky thing about that little repair bill is that I didn't swallow my tongue when they told me the total.  So while it hurt to spend that much, I was heartened by the fact that I could handle it.  A few years ago, not so much.

Went to the Farpoint Convention in Baltimore with beeej over the weekend and it was fun.  Main guests: James Callis and Marina Sirtis.  I don't want Marina pissed at me.  She's feisty!  I was wondering if Marina and Claudia Christian got in a fight who would win?  A.) Marina, B.) Claudia or C.) geeks around the world?  I'm going with A and C.  James was nice.  I don't think he has his "convention patter" worked out yet.  I've finally met someone who gives more meandering and tangential answers to questions than I do.  And that's saying something.  He cut his hair and really doesn't look like Baltar anymore. Also met cruisedirector , HI!

I'm trying to read more books just so I can donate them and decrease the four billion pounds of books I have in my possession.   I read "Angels and Demons" by Dan Brown (which I've had for over two years) and boy is that a gilded turd.  The Illuminatus stuff is fine but his story structure and dialog choices are vomitous.  I can't donate that one to the library soon enough.

Finally,  my newest icon.  That's Shia Lebeouf.   He's turning out so well, especially the hands.

The wisdom of Nancy Drew: Moxie and a good sense of balance are essential when crawling on a roof.

*waves* I must admit I was terribly disappointed by the lack of Baltar hair. There aren't enough long-haired men in entertainment.
