Drama + Work = Hate.

So, this was a banner week because in our little 60-person office as it was made public that one of the vice presidents started an affair with the president's secretary, his wife kicked him out and now everyone is all abuzz about The Scandal.   Him: late 50's, 30 year marriage, two grown children, one grandchild.  Her: late 30's, going through a divorce, one kid a high school senior, one kid in kindergarten.   Also: she's a psycho mess who pawns her work off on others and plays the victim with men.  This will all end in tears.

I have issues in my life like aging parents, money woes, why I can't get motivated to lose weight, and who will take care of me when I'm old and pooping in my pants as I've elected to not have children.  So really, I view work as a place where the problems have solutions and I know the answers.  And sometimes there are donuts.  Now work will be messy and uncomfortable as this revelation is just so wrong for so many reasons.  I hate messy.

In other news, my urge to get a cat is increasing.  The roommate and his cat moved out in April and I'm really starting to feel it.  I find myself looking longingly at Munchkin cat sites.  Must. Be. Strong.

But, dude, the cute of the Munchkin cat is overwhelming!  Look at this blurry photo of Tribble.  He's so fluffy!  I miss his round little belly!!!

Because I'm very close to being completely out of debt and I want to save money and the kitty I want can only be gotten from a breeder which = $$$$$. I have several little trips planned over the next few months and I'd need to find someone to feed the cat. There may still be a new roommate in my future depending on what Chris decides he wants to do and that person may not be a cat person or may have their own animal.

Part of it is that my last kitty was so sickly and it was stressful and expensive to care for him. I fear getting another kitty and finding out it has health issues. Also, I don't want to get an animal from a shelter or someone I know. For once I want to pick the kind of cat I want instead of inheriting a kitty from someone else, which is want tends to happen.

See how busy it is in my brain? I'm thinking of every possible outcome all the time.

Adi sent a link to photos of the baby and I noticed he has wires. Does shortie have heart issues? Does she still have a blog she posts in?

Dude. I work with all guys, so I never have fun stuff to gossip about. Although, if a few of them are sleeping together, then I really don't know any of them as well as I thought.

I completely get the "who's going to take care of me?" question. It's scary when your single with no kids. Thankfully, I have a niece who I intend to charge with my care.

As much as I travel, the only things that live with me are the ones that can feed themselves and let themselves out.

I've had fish, a turtle, sea monkeys, a rat and many cats but I've never had a dog. I've actually seen some tiny dogs that are cute and I could drag around with me, but the picking up the poop part of the package is a deal breaker.

I'll probably just go to the Soylent Green factory when my time comes.

When we get old, we're going to move into a fannish commune, where we can all watch TV from our rocking chairs, and have lots of pretty, young boys to take care of us. *nods*

Hrm...That does sound better than the Soylent Green factory.

Can we shoot things from the porch??

Yep. And on Wednesday nights, we'll sit on the porch, eating watermelon, and spitting seeds.

And we must practice our spells.
