Remember how I said I wasn't going to buy anymore stuff? - Devil on Your Shoulder
Go on. You know you want to.
Remember how I said I wasn't going to buy anymore stuff?
That went right out the window.
But, my rationalization is that I did my taxes and I'm getting a nice refund so it all works out.

My reading so far this year has had the theme "Sci Fi Classics I Never Got Around to Reading".   This is mostly to clear bookshelf space.  I've been a member of Science Fiction Bookclub a few times so I have several series of books I purchased just to complete my obligations.

I read Time Enough for Love and I'd forgotten how much Heinlein loves to rationalize whatever was taking up his headspace.  Still a fun read.  The I read A Canticle for Leibowitz and it holds up well considering it was published in 1959.  I have all six Lensmen books and I started the first, but then I got Consider Phlebos by Iain M Banks from the library so that one is getting my attention first.

Does anyone have any classic SciFi they love that I should read?  I've read most of the biggies, I'm looking for some thing more obscure.

That t-shirt rocks!

Classic SciFi - Le Guin's The Dispossessed, everyone raves about The Left Hand of Darkness but I think this is the better book.

zomg. Best. Shirt. Ever. Must get one!

Also, I second The Left Hand of Darkness fabulous book. Are you looking for just SciFi or fantasy too? 'cause I think you'd really like the Incarnations of Immortality series which is by Piers Anthony. Also the "Myth" series by Robert Aspirin.
